IB Arabic Ab Initio

Iraqi high school students in Bagdad. Daniel Ogden, a native of Provo, Utah is a National Guard soldier stationed in Iraq helping to connect our students to students there in Bagdad. He has facilitated a project where families in the United States can send needed materials to Bagdad to help relieve the war torn country. Now Provo High students are building friendships across the ocean through letters. The students in Bagdad have reacted very positively and are excited for more letters to come.

Course description:

Arabic offers a unique opportunity to understand the Middle East through its language. Learn basic Arabic reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. We will discuss Arab culture and current events. This class works closely with the nationally renowned Arabic program at Brigham Young University.
