Students will study short and suspense stories and the elements of literature (theme, symbol, characters, setting, and analysis). This course will emphasize the study of persuasive writing, grammar, composition, oral presentation, basic research skills, reading skills and the literature of Shakespeare, John Steinbeck, Harper Lee, and others.
