English Principles emphasizes three language modes: conversation, essay, film and story.It focuses on bilingual dictionary, vocabulary, translation and punctuation skills. Higher, more formal Spanish is used as the entry language into English essay so that the students can lift their Hispanic Latin-based vocabulary straight over into English with a dictionary spelling refinement. This allows students to think and write on a higher level. Our focus will be to break the conversation and writing barriers, social, cultural, and racial stereotypes. The class is highly speaking and writing intensive.
