AP World History is a college level course introducing world history outside of the U.S. and Europe. The course covers the history of China, Japan, India, Africa, the Americas (but not U.S.) and the Middle East. This class is for the student who desires to discover and learn about new cultures and non-traditional history. Students who take AP World history will be expected to take the AP exam in May for college/university credit. Although there are no pre-requisite classes it is recommended that students have taken Ancient World or Modern World History.
