This course will offer an in-depth look at concepts and themes basic to the study of Geography, downplaying Geography as a place of memorization. The course will emphasize conceptual thinking about the earth and its inhabitants. The coverage will be organized around the five major themes of Geography as outlined by the National Geographic Society (location, place, region, movement and human/environmental interaction).  English skills are improved through reading, writing, conversation, and presentation.
